The Rakenrol Haybol Show

Pambihira, they're good! Hey, Ichi and Karl. You should watch our good friend, Ramil's show, The Rakenrol Haybol Show. It's like Wayne's World, MTV's Beavis and Butthead, and ABC-5's The Misadventures of Maverick and Ariel, all rolled into one.


The show has that funny "rocker/tambay sa kanto" humor. It reminds me also of Bab, the hippie Pugad Baboy character of Pol Medina Jr. The Youtube show is directed by Ramil Aznar, formerly of the Half-Life, Half-Death Band, which had its heyday in the 1990s with its hit single, "Alimango." Ramil is now the lead vocals of Dream Kitchen Band, which was also featured in the show.


Rockman and Punk are two of Rakenrol Haybol's hosts. The interaction and conversation between the two while watching a music video at each episode projects a whimsical mood which is quintessential of Filipino comedy. The theme song is also very catchy - easy to remember and fun to sing-along. I bet Ramil composed its lyrics and music.
