How to Beat 3WPlayer

Some of you who download torrents might have encountered this problem when you try to play the movie.

3wplayer is a rogue media player software application bundled with trojans that can infect computers running Microsoft Windows. It is designed to exploit users who download video files, instructing them to download and install the program in order to view the video. The 3wplayer is infected with Trojan.Win32.Obfuscated.en according to Kaspersky Anti-virus.

The 3wplayer employs a form of social engineering to infect computers. Seemingly desirable video files, such as recent movies, are released via BitTorrent or other distribution channels. These files resemble conventional AVI files, but are engineered to display a message when played on most media player programs, instructing the user to visit the 3wplayer website and download the software to view the video. The program is bundled with malware that has various undesirable effects, including attempting to disable anti-virus software.

Well, you don't need to feel bad that you wasted hours of download time. You can still enjoy the encrypted movie by downloading this tool and NOT download the 3WPlayer.

Do not download 3Wplayer. It contains Malware.
There is a software tool which can convert 3wplayer files back to normal video files. I tried it on many videos which could only be played on 3w player and it converted them all successfully, although a little slow. You can download it from here:

It is a clean software without any spyware or adware. I hope this info will help.

I downloaded a cracker from http://wildman-productions.org/ - worked great.

I thought i'd downloaded "the kingdom 2007" but after cracking, turned out to be "Jackass II" in good quality.

bonus :D

Bottom line: the decoder helps, but any movie that requires it is unlikely to actually be what it is meant to. For instance, I got shemale porn. Sucks.

I downloaded a copy of 3w player and it works great. I've never got any viruses from it or the media files, just i cant find a converter so i can play them on my psp.

But be careful what you do download its best to check for viruses before the opening files, and always keep your anti-virus up to date.
